Welcome to Nanabird! I'm Heather, an avid thrifter, and lover of vintage and antiques. I started this journey to share my collection of finds with others. Letting go of these timeless pieces allows them to be appreciated and loved by new families. 

Motley Home graciously provided me with my first booth space to showcase these abandoned and forgotten treasures. 

My passion for antiques and thrifting stems from my family, particularly my mother, who embraced the shabby chic style before it was popular. She even opened her own version of Motley Home, featuring vintage and antiques, local artisans, and second-hand clothing. My grandmother, the original 'nanabird,' had a fondness for antiquing and auctions. While she preferred upscale shops, with high end art and sparkling glassware; I found joy in unearthing hidden gems from dusty boxes and old suitcases.

Uncovering the history behind these items is a thrilling adventure for me, earning me the title of 'research queen' from my friends. I find immense satisfaction in understanding the story behind each piece. 

In the past, I dedicated myself to rescuing and rehoming pets; nursing them back to health, and finding them loving homes.
